What is your favorite Sci-Fi Novel/Series Ever.

What is your favorite Sci-Fi novel and/or series ever and why? My favorite novel is Brave New World by Aldous Huxley. The first time I read it I was 13 and the ending absolutely floored me and stayed with me ever since.

I don't know if I have *a* favorite, so I'll focus on a few. One of the earliest I ever read was Frank Herbert's Dune but haven't read it in ages. 





I also love Day of the Triffids



One of the more recent ones that I keep recommending is "A Scientific Romance" by Ronald Wright




(title is slightly misleading, scientific romance is an old terminology for science fiction)  I loved this book.

The entire Shannara series is outstanding - if you haven't read I cannot think of a better series - I'm not into the fantasy genre and these are some of my favorite books
